The SEC will provide two Viewing of Scripts services this year - in schools for subjects marked on paper and online for subjects marked online. You can view the list of which were marked online here.
Applications for viewing Leaving Certificate scripts must be made online through the Candidate Self Service Portal.
The Application process to View Scripts opens on 5pm Tuesday 27th August and closes 8pm Wednesday 28th August. Application for viewing Leaving Certification Applied (LCA) scripts will be by email and the same timeline will apply
It is important to consider reviewing your papers and consider appealing your results, as even a small points jump can help you along the way to getting your desired college course.
While the last thing many students may wish to do is to view their scripts, there are a number of reasons to encourage them to avail of the opportunity such as:
The period for viewing scripts is quite short. If your subject was manually marked, you will be notified by your school of the review time which will be in one of two sessions on Saturday 31st August. Candidates who applied to view scripts marked online will be provided online access to view the scripts over the same times and dates above and will have a timed three hour session on Saturday, 31st August 202 from 9am to 9am Sunday 1st September 2024 .
The viewing sessions for scripts marked on paper are:
Session 1 - 31st August from 9.30am to 12.30pm
Session 2 - 31st August from 2pm to 5pm
Please take note of these dates as it is not possible to arrange viewing of scripts on any other date.
When viewing their transcript in a school a student may be accompanied by one other person at any one time. Candidates, or those accompanying them, may not interfere with or copy examination material. At the assigned Viewing of Scripts session, you will be able to make a copy of your script(s), using your own mobile phone, tablet or digital camera to capture images of your script(s).
If you feel that there has been an error in marking your scripts, you may have your exam re-marked through the appeals process. The appeals process will be carried out online again this year, where students must apply for appeals and view the results through the Candidate Self Service Portal. On the 1st of September, appeals applications will open at 10am and students will be able to fill out an online application form. The Application process closes on 2nd September at 5pm. The Appeals results will issue on Friday 27th September at 11am. Read More
